Oct 22nd the GLS crew went to Bath, a Georgian city 100 miles west of London... beautiful city built out of what has become known as bath stone, a sandstone that gives the city a distinct dull brown color. In the center of the city are the Roman baths, an ancient site built around a natural hot spring.
This is a recreation of the site. In the foreground are the remains of the bath, and in the back to the left is where the temple to Minerva was.
The face above the old temple
Statue of a drama mask
Remains found at the site
Remains of the temples altar
The head of Minerva, which was inside the temple and would have only been seen by the Priests
Steps to the temple
Water from the hot spring flows around the site to the different pools
Steam room
The Bath Cathedral
Stonehenge! (my camera died while i was there so these are the only pictures i got).
